In addition to a section devoted exclusively to the exhibition of Vincenzo Bellini’s autograph music manuscripts, i.e. the rarest and most valuable part of the museum’s holdings, the Vincenzo Bellini Museum has a music library with musicological historical texts, printed music editions, a historical newspaper library and a miscellaneous music collection consisting of music manuscripts by various authors (from the 18th to the 20th century). The reading room of the Library has 8 reading places (in order to guarantee the safety of the users, in compliance with anti-covid regulations, the number could be temporarily reduced to two people). Due to architectural and structural constraints, there is no specific access for people with disabilities. The Music Library of the Vincenzo Bellini Museum is part of the Polo Biblioteche della Provincia di Catania (CAT) and its catalogues can be consulted online on the OPAC SBN (Catalogo del Servizio Bibliotecario Nazionale) website.
